A Shadowplay For Yesterdays

Ok, one of my favorite bands. Great powerful bm music, great 19th century lyrics, great victorian atmosphere. A forest of stars confirm after 'opportunistic thieves of spring' that they can do it their own psucho, theatrical way.

Unterm Kreuze Zum Sarg

Ewig Finster is a new band with two demos in its history. I think they can have a brilliant future. Unlike the guy who posted the following song in utube, i love this sound quality.

Vargor 2012

I am not really in the symphonic genre, but i must admit that this release struck me.

The Prisoner

Amelnakru's new album. Give it a listen.

Have A Nice Trip

Psychonaut 4 return quickly with a new release. And they never seem to dissapoint their fans.

Substanz

A great compilation with re-recordings, which shows that Heretoir decided(?) to walk the post-rock path...and i say path, because the road remains depressive and black. It is a nice release, although i hope they won't get lost in the long term.

Celestia

Galactic Cancer Squad's new album is for sure superb! An example of really good atmospheric black metal, a proud descentant of Eroberer and Strange Spheres Of Hyperborea, Celestia will be played on ipods for a long time.

When dreams are fire, and world is dreams

Dark, but not new, drone ,noise ,cold space ,ambient sound with even blackgaze elements I'd say. The sound of solitude. Very good start for Muldeponie

Blaspheme and Devotion by Malysteria

Good, but unfortunately underrated, french black metal.

Silencing Machine

Nachtmystium quite experiment in their new album. Its roots remain black though while the several effects( blasts, solos, keyboards) broaden musically the result.

They who bring death II

Depressive black/ ambient release by Adramalech. Recommended.

Al Azif

I don't know out of where all these music pearls did come out this month! So here is another excellent record by The Great Old Ones. Black doom atmosphere with influences from the french post metal scene. ...i feel that many words will spoil it. Enjoy.

They awoke to the scent of spring

Ok, for me this is atmospheric black at its best. I see two halves in the album, part 1& 2 on the one, and part 3&4 on the other with an ear-pleasant passage between them. Nachzeit slightly steps away from his previous work, when some parts are guitar-orientated. Anyway it's definitely worth listening.

Atra Mors

Evoken are here with a perfect funeral doom release! So they succesfully keep mixing funeral doom with other genres while combining heavy riffs and harsh vocals with melodic moments and some keyboards. Nevertheless death and black elements are to distinguish.

What once was...liber II

Once again the bizarre sound of Blut Aus Nord is here to capture our mind.. Being closer to 777-the desanctification, the new ep has for sure many death metal influences. The result is unique and perhaps not everyone's taste.
